C.1) MAIL SERVER NOTICE = 22-24/07/2006
Due to high loads placed on the Triode mail server over the past weeks users may have experienced delays on sending and receiving E-mails from the Triode mail server.
We will be replacing the old server with a new server on the 22nd of July and turning off the old triode.net.au mail on the 24th of July.
All Triode mail subscribers will automatically be merged to the new server. If you wish to confirm your Triode E-mail account has been merged or minimise the down time to your E-mail please call the Triode helpdesk on: 1300 761 88
The new server will require two small changes to your E-mail program.
We have attached the documentation below on how to make these changes in both Microsoft “Outlook” and “Outlook Express.

For our Web-mail users we now have two versions of web-mail:

Configuring Clients
Outlook 2002/2003
Go to Tools - E-mail Accounts and select View or change existing e-mail accounts
Highlight the name of the “Triode” account and click on Change and then change your Username to username@triode.net.au then click More Settings
Click on the tab labelled Outgoing Server and tick the box My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Click OK - Next and Finish
Outlook Express v 5.x and 6.x
Go to Tools - Accounts
Click on the Mail tab
Highlight the “Triode” account and click Properties
Under the Servers tab tick the box marked My server requires authentication under the heading of Outgoing Mail Server, and then change your Account Name to username@triode.net.au
Click OK
We strongly recommend you download all your E-mails from the old Triode mail server before the 22nd of July as the server will be turned off and decommissioned as of the 24th. If you need assistance please call our helpdesk.
C.2) DIAL-UP INTERNET PHONE NUMBER CHANGE = 24/07/2006
All Triode Dial-up users will need to change the Dial-up phone number as of 24/07/2006.
This change does not affect ADSL or broadband users.
We have attached the documentation below on how to make these changes in both Microsoft and Macintosh.

Configuring you computer
Windows XP
Click on the Start button.
Click on Control Panel (you may need to go to settings, then click onto control panel)
In the Control Panel, double click on network connections.
Locate your Triode connection and right click on it ONCE, then left click on properties.
If the telephone number is listed in the telephone number field is 8208 19**, remove it and put in 9006 2011. (if you already have the 9006 2011 number entered, skip to the next step)
Then click on the ok button at the bottom.
Windows 2000
Click on the Start button.
Then go up to settings, and click on settings Control Panel.
In Control Panel, double click on Network and Dialup Connections.
Locate your Triode connection and right click on it ONCE, then left click on properties.
If the telephone number is listed in the telephone number field is 8208 19**, remove it and put in 9006 2011. (if you already have the 9006 2011 number entered, skip to the next step)
Then click on the ok button at the bottom.
Windows 95/98
Double click on the My Computer icon (remember that you may have renamed it to something else, such as "Fred's Cool PC".)
Double click on the Dial-Up Networking folder.
In the window that appears, find the icon for your Triode connection and click ONCE on this icon with the left mouse button.
Go to the File menu and select Properties .
In the Telephone number field, enter the new phone number.
Adjust the Area code and/or country code if you are dialling in from outside the state.
If you are dialling from inside the state, make sure that the Use country and area code when dialling option is disabled!
Click on OK.
Close the windows.
Mac OS X
At Desktop level, click on the System Preferences from the Apple menu (by pressing the apple icon on keyboard).
In the System Preferences window that appears, click on the Network icon to display its options.
Select Internal Modem from the Show dropdown menu.
With the TCP/IP tab selected, select Using PPP from the Configure dropdown menu.
With the PPP tab selected, enter the new dialup number 9006 2011 in the Telephone Number box.
Click on Apply Now button.
